At Dukes’ Arches the safety and security of our guests and team members remains our highest priority. Please find below more information about our COVID-19 policy. The guidelines and recommendations by the Belgian government are strictly followed.

Attention! Anyone traveling to Belgium must complete the Public Health Passenger Locator Form at least 48 hours before arrival in Belgium.

Is the hotel open?

Dukes’ Arches is open from 18 December 2020. We are more than happy to welcome you and will do our utmost possible to offer you a pleasant and memorable stay.

General measures

  • Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory at the entire hotel.
  • Every visitor is asked to register his details in function of the contact search.
  • Disinfectant hand gel is available in all public areas.
  • Procedures for cleaning and hygiene have been upgraded. Every room is disinfected after check-out.
  • Our staff is equipped with the necessary protective materials. In places where there is direct guest contact, plexiglass has been provided and our employees will wear a mouth mask.
  • Door handles and lift knobs are disinfected on a very regular basis.
  • We advise to limit the use of the elevator. If used, maximum 1 family at a time. We suggest to use the elevator to go up and the staircase to come down.
  • Payments are preferable made by debit/credit card.

Breakfast

  • Breakfast is served at the breakfast restaurant
  • Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory at the breakfast restaurant. The mask should only be taken off when you are seated at your table
  • You will be welcomed at the entrance and hosted to your table
  • The policy on social distance is respected
  • Ideally, only one person per table attends the buffet
  • Room service breakfast is also available. Your order will be delivered in front of the room door
  • Breakfast is only allowed in the room
  • For your convenience, a table with chairs is provided in each room
  • The breakfast restaurant is set up as a food market where you make your choice from our wide range of breakfast products that you can take with you to the room
  • Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory in the food market

Bar & Terrace

  • Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory at the bar & terrace. The mask should only be taken off when you are seated at your table
  • Every visitor is asked to register his details in function of the contact search
  • In the bar it is compulsory to consume seated. Therefore the necessary adjustments have been made to the furniture.
  • The policy on social distance is respected.
  • The bar is currently closed

  • Open from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Here you will find a selection alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, gifts & gift vouchers
  • You take the refreshments to the room where you can enjoy in complete safety in your bubble

Dinner in a box

  • The hotel offers four food boxes with cold dishes.
  • You choose between an appetizer box, culinary foodbox, festive foodbox or a assortment of fine cheeses.
  • The food boxes are only available to order.
  • Delivery occurs in the room between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Wellness

The guidelines of the Belgian government do not allow a reopening of a public hotel wellness for the moment. As soon as this changes, the necessary measurements will be taken to re-open in a safe environment.

An exception to this is the fitness area, which will be open. Disinfectant will be available to clean the equipment before and after use. The fitness is maintained by the hotel at regular intervals. Nevertheless, we ask our guests to show the necessary respect to keep the fitness a safe environment for everyone.

    • Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory in all public areas and corridors.
    • The policy on social distance is respected.
    • A maximum of 4 people are allowed in the spa.
    • A maximum of 2 people are allowed in the fitness.

Bruges

From the 8th of June tourist visits from our own country will be possible again.

From 15 June, visitors from the 27 countries of the Schengen zone will also be welcome again.

The city of Bruges is closely following the directives of the National Security Council to ensure a safe and comfortable visit in our city. The city also revives and activities will start up again gradually and progressively.

For the time being, non-essential travel from outside the EU and the Schengen Area to Belgium are not allowed, with the exception of the countries on the ‘European White List‘. Tourist trips from the EU to Belgium are not prohibited but are strongly discouraged.
